STRAWBERRY BANANA SMOOTHIE BOWL

Do you also like these sunny and warm spring days as much as I do? Just a few days ago I passed byΒ a canopy of cherry blossoms. So beautiful! Of course, I had to take a cherry twig for some spring decoration in my apartment πŸ˜‰ Since I hadn’t had banana (n)icecream in a very long time, I spontaneously prepared a strawberry banana smoothie bowl. Seems like this quick and delicious snack will become my favorite summer dessert once again πŸ™‚

By the way, you can mix and match this smoothie bowl with all different kind of fruits, grains and nuts. What’s your favorite combination?

STRAWBERRY-BANANA SMOOTHIEBOWL

Serves: 1 Cooking Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 6 strawberries
  • pinch of vanilla extract and cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp cocoa nibs

Instructions

Defrost the bananas for 10 minutes before blending them in a high-speed food processor. Add the vanilla and cinnamon to the nicecream.

Wash the strawberries and cut them into small pieces. Heat them up in a small pan together with the milk until they are soft and turn into a strawberry sauce.

Fill the banana icecream in a bowl and mix it with the strawberry sauce. Add toppings according to your own taste.
