This recipe is dedicated to all the chocolate lovers (I guess that are most of you ;)). Usually, I do not consume that much chocolate. For instance, I never buy a chocolate bar to it eat it myself right away. Furthermore, I prefer a white piece of chocolate. And I love chocolate with crunchy nuts inside ?.
For a little sweet afternoon snack, I got inspired by one of my favorite bloggers, Lara from vanillacrunnch.com. Lara’s chocolate truffles (check here) looked so damn tempting. Therefore, I had to give them a try!
Because I prefer white chocolate and some crunchy brittle, I changed the toppings and the coating for the truffles. Further, I rolled some pralines in cocoa powder and topped them with my new roses spice. The result is amazing and tastes incredibly delicious. These truffles are now my new favorite dessert!
RAW CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES – 3 WAYSPrint Recipe
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 3 tablespoon water
- 1/2 cup hazelnuts
- 100g dates
- 1 tablespoon agave syrup
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoon melted coconut oil
- 1/2 cup almonds
- 2 tablespoons agave syrup
- 4 little pieces of white chocolate
- 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
Mix the chia seeds with the water and let the liquid rest for about 10 minutes. In the meantime heat up the dates in a pan with agave syrup and a splash of water. As soon as the dates become soft, you can place them in a blender along with the hazelnuts, chia-water mixture, cocoa powder and coconut oil. Let everything blend well until a thick creamy consistency develops. Put this mixture in the fridge for about 10 minutes.
If you like to coat your truffles with brittle, you need to crush the almonds in a food processor and heat them in a pan together with some agave syrup. If you like you can also put the brittle in the oven for 10 min, to get the extra crunchiness ;-P
In case you love white chocolate as much as I do, you can simply melt some chocolate pieces.
Form little balls with the chocolate truffles mixture and roll them in melted white chocolate, crunchy brittle or cocoa powder.
